It’s the sheer scale of the newly opened Talisman, in west London, that stops you short: 16,000 sq ft of gobsmackingly beautiful objects, from antique Gustavian cabinets and Moroccan tapestries to classic garden statuary and screens by Paco Rabanne. Yes, it is pricey, but if you want that unique, drop-dead impressive piece, and haven’t time to travel abroad and haggle, head to Parsons Green fast. Check out the art deco building, too, which was saved from demolition by Talisman’s owner Ken Bolan.
